Mike Jaggers, Field Agent, was born in Rushville, NE and graduated from Rushville High School in 1989. He first went to Chadron State and then transferred to the University of Nebraska at Kearney studying Business Marketing and Criminal Justice.

Prior to becoming a Knight in January 2018, Mike spent 25 years at Cabela’s, 8 in Kearney, NE as a phone representative in college, and then in various management positions in the Kearney Retail Store. In 2001, Mike transferred to Sidney, NE, and spent 17 years in various positions at the Cabela’s Headquarters in Merchandising, Management and Merchandise Financial Planning. While at Cabela’s, Mike received awards for Leadership and Merchandising, and consistently ranked at the top amongst his merchandising peers for performance relating to Sales, Gross Margin, and Inventory Turn in areas for which he was responsible.

Mike became a Field Agent for the Swanson Agency in January of 2018, and covers the Nebraska Panhandle and Valentine, NE area. As a Field Agent, Mike has twice received Agent of the Month for the Swanson Agency, and finished 2nd in the Swanson Agency in 2018. He was also in the top 20% of all Knights Field Agents his first year with the company, ending the year at 115% of his sales quota.

Mike has been very involved in the community as Board Member for Teammates, Sidney American Legion Baseball, and Cheyenne County Community Center Sports Advisory Committee. He has also been involved as a Youth Sports coach for Basketball, Football and Baseball. He is active in the St. Patrick’s Parish as an usher and helps with the St. Patrick’s Fall Festival, Helping Hands, Soup Suppers, and other activities and events. Mike is also very active in local KC Council 1861 in Sidney.

Mike has been married since 1996 to wife Ami from Kearney, a 1992 graduate of Kearney Catholic High School. They have 3 children, Bret, who is also a First Degree Knight, Morgan, and Kyle. They have all been very active in their local church, St. Patrick’s in Sidney, as greeters, servers and ushers, and Ami is very involved in the Faith Formation program. She also teaches Pre-School at Sidney Public Schools.
