Spencer Ashburn, Field Agent, was born in Lincoln, Nebraska and graduated from Pius X High School in 2001. He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and St Gregory the Great Seminary. Prior to his career with the Knights of Columbus, Spencer worked for the Diocese of Lincoln in the Youth Ministry Department. Spencer was also spent time in Real Estate.

In college, Spencer was an active member of the St Thomas Aquinas Church and Newman Center, serving on the Student Advisory Board for four years. He was also a charter member of KC Council 13015 at The Newman Center and served as Grand Knight for two years. He represented the council three times at the National KofC College Convention in New Haven, CT.

Spencer became a Field Agent in the Tony Swanson Agency in December of 2014. He has been blessed with good success as a Field Agent, being the Agent of the Year Runner-Up as well as consistently placing in the top 175 Field Agents in the order. Spencer has also qualified as an MDRT Aspirant. MDRT is an industry-wide organization and represents the top 2% of financial professionals in the industry worldwide. He has received his FIC designation from the Fraternal Insurance Counselors Association.

As a member of the Swanson Agency, Spencer is part of an agency that has consistently been among the leaders in the Knights of Columbus. The Swanson Agency has consistently finished as one of the top 15 agencies in the Order and has finished as high as #2 in the Order twice in its history.

Spencer is an active member in his local community and Church. Every year he leads a TEC (Teens Encounter Christ) Retreat for High School Juniors and Seniors. Since 2001, Spencer has directed and been involved in more than 25 TEC Retreats. He currently resides in Lincoln, Nebraska and is an active member of St. Michael’s Church. Spencer is a member of KC Council 10913.
